Not sure you'll find a quiet tyre at a cheap price that performs well with the torque wave these produce.

I've used KU31s, Achilles ATR Sport 2s, Tri Ace Carreras (lol) and Nitto Invos. They are all noisy on certain road surfaces. KU31 rate above the ATR Sport 2's in the wet for sure once a bit worn. Still suck though.

Ive just got the Hankook Ventus S1noble2. Ihave 2 of these and 2 of the S1 Evo2's. The nobles have been on the front and they replaced a pair of ku39's and they are much quieter and feel much more stable in the wet today, but the evo 2's probably just pip them for grip but they arent as quiet but they are much quieter then the 31's. And I got them for $185 a tyre in the 245 40 18.

That's pretty good! I should really try new tyres each time I get a pair, could have tried like ten types by now...

I got the idea of the nobles by a mate who has them on his M3 and rated them very highly. He has done 20 k on them and they have over 2/3rds tread left.

Yep for sure no problem.

Good to share information instead of us all spending $$$ on the same thing with same conclusions.
