Just looking at some injectors, and came across this brand, they are quite expensive and was wondering what extra benefits they would have over the Bosch or Siemens...

Apparently the injector dynamics website mentions something about idle quality and better tuning capabilities...

Is there any truth to thrse claims to justify the cost?

They are a superior injector. However KPM's units are just as good, cheaper, and Australian made. Well worth the money spent, do it right, go with a quality injector. Either ID or KPM

Only just came across them? Lol

Yeah I dunno if they are worth the premium. As mentioned kpm is just as good

Yeah I must admit I don't know much about injector brands, as I always thought most guys on the forum use Siemens or Bosch.

Though regarding KPM and Injector Dynamics, I noticed a bit of a debate on the Ford Forums between KPM and Herrord, discussing wether they are similar, or just as good as each other...

most people trying to sell you a product will try to tell you it is the best, injector dynamics and KPM are Bosch injectors which have been modified and matched both flow and electrically, both supply tuning data to get the tuner started with correct numbers, some of this data is not able to be reproduced accurately in a workshop environment, so the use of either of these brands can result in a better operating injector and car.

Yes without tuning data the same power can be made but the manners may not be the same.

Somebody the other week said about a third supplier that offered tuning data but no names were supplied.

At the end of the day, some tuners like to use a particular injector so you are best talking to the guy that is going to tune it and get his take on it.

Thanks Ratter, your post was very insightful.

I'm the first to admit that I don't know much about injectors, but I honestly didn't realise there was a such a science behind them...

So by the varying "manners" between injectors you mean, idle quality, throttle response/part throttle response etc?

My 80lb Dekas idled flawlessly, never a hiccup on the throttle, started well all the time and car got North of 550kms to the tank on 98 octane(350+ on E85 14.7 AF at cruise) 17psi GTX turbo average speed of 28kmhr.

Is this good?
