I made a scoop shaped ramp that exactly fits the curve behind the front grill so all the air that goes through the grill is directed up the ramp through the vents and into the upper snorkel. After doing just this ramp I noticed a slight improvment in responsivness and it seems to pull a little harder under heavier acceleration at higher speeds (over 80), I should mention my car is a BF2 XR6T, but this should work on every B series falcon.I also installed a K&N filter so that helps a fair bit too obviously but I would think there is still some merit even without the hiflow filter, as long as your paper filter isnt crazy dirty, maybe tap the dust out of it first.I have attached the template I used to make the ramp so you can print it out and transpose it onto whatever plastic you are using. I punched holes in mine and zip tied it in 3 places, each upper corner and the middle at the bottom and I taped the underside to the inside of the front bar to seal it perfectly. I also sprayed mine black. You can see in the pics you can fit it over the plastic bracket that houses the bonnet release or you can fit it behind, ive ended up putting mine behind as I though it was putting too much pressure on the bracket. The template is about 90% accurate so you may need to trim it down a little more than the template size is to make it fit yours perfectly, regardless of the shape you trim it to you will still need to bend and shape it to your liking, if you get really keen and have the right plastic you can use a heat gun to mould the plastic so it will hold the scoop shape perfectly, I was lucky because the bash plastic I used holds its shape after being bent without a heat gun. 3MM acrylic and a heat gun and you will have a perfect one that will never lose shape which is what I may do eventually, bash plastic is very good however.Cheers. 2 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90359-bf-xr6-front-grill-cai-how-to/ Share on other sites
