So I dont know what the problem is.

Passenger rear window was working fine yesterday but now it will not go down.

Tried both drivers and rear door window switch but it seems like there is no power. Drivers side still works fine and the fuse is fine.

Can not hear any noise of the window actuator working but when you use the button to put it up you can hear a slight noise like when your window reaches the stopping point.

No downwards movement. Any ideas?

Have replaced window actuators in a ba before but normally you hear them when they fark up.

Dont know where to look next.

Any ideas would help.

Cheers.

your best bet would be to pull the door trim off and make sure the switch is actually making the actuator move (at all)

If it's not moving at all then trace the wire back to the main switch point to make sure there's no bad connection - this would be unlikely, I would have thought.

If it's moving a little but stopping straight away it could be not getting quite enough current to make the motor move - this could be due to a bad contact somewhere either on the switch or wiring pathway.

If it's moving freely then it could be not connected correctly somewhere to the window movement mechanism.

If it's not working at all you can try a motor from the other side to see if it's the motor or the wiring...

Sorry that's not really helpful, but it'll require some manual diagnosis - may be just easier to take it straight to an auto elec.

Swap the switches left to right

I'm not sure how the FG window switches work but on my AU it used to just get dirty contacts (carbon build up)

Pulled them apart, little bit of sandpaper and they come good for a year or two

Must be a lose wire or just stuck. Slamed the door when I put my work bag in and what do ya know. It works again. Ill pop the door trim sat arvo and check the wires and give it a clean.
