There's a few that you're better off asking about and being "suggested to not use" The stock FG turbo runs out of puff around the 320rwkw?? level using 98 fuel - and even then it's hit and miss.Another option to look at is the HP tune - it's a flash, without the xcal (and the ease of use that comes with the xcal)What model FG? Original or MkII? An easy bonus on the MkII is knocking out the restrictor ring on the CAT to open it up rather than a new CAT.Dump pipe - I haven't heard of that being a part of a first round of mods much - usually tied in with those at the pointy end of the stick where the cost/benefit ratio starts to dwindle. Your car will come out driving like it should have been from the factory - better response, better economy and a noticeable amount more power. The next stage would be injectors, cooler, cat and (probably) intake (maybe fuel pump??) - I'd save up for them and do those all at once. If it is the FG then you're probably at the limit of where you want to get to with those. Turbo/lifters/bigger cooler/exhaust would be the next step from there.Been having a good read over these items in that thread (it's a good thread), and seems pretty well the way to go. I'm interested in doing the basic stuff first. I don't really want injectors/cooler/cat and intake, just yet, but they're on the list down the track. I'm basically looking for the better response, better economy and a bit more power without going full project spec just yet.His prices are supplied and fitted!!!EBay prices are supplied only.M1rkz, have you spoken to the guys at Monsta Torque in Malaga? No but I've heard of them here or there I think. I've been looking at dealing with XFT as a friend has had a bunch of work done there on a GS ute that he used to have, and couldn't recommend Simon etc enough. The car was a complete beast of thing, but lots of money spent. Also to clarify, with regard to suggesting buying bits and pieces as I go, I don't expect to fit one bit, get a retune, the next bit and a retune etc. Would be more along the lines of... buying this, this, that and that and that other thing, fitting it myself where possible (I've enjoyed working on my cars in the past), and then taking it in for a check over that I've done things right and get a tune etc. Not sure if there is/isn't much of a saving in doing this though. So I'd effectively be doing it in stages, but I'd accumulate the parts over time instead of paying in one lump sum.Given that the car is very reliant on the ECU/Tune etc, I also wonder whether it's possible/viable to do it this way working on it myself and just driving it nicely to the shop for the tune before giving it a boot full etc.
