It's a defined rattle like a chain bouncing. I've just swapped out the belt & checked the pulleys. The idler on the cover is smooth but probably a little buggered. The arm & tensioner are free. I have a noise that is like a very gentle rattle when accelerating lightly from 2500-3000rpm. only does it when car has been running for short period. when really hot it goes away or when you hold it in that rev range for about 5-10 seconds it suddenly stops.
