He can't even get it certified for less weight coz it's a factory 1 tonne. Little ridiculous given they were avaliable from the factory with less carrying capacity and larger rims.

But I don't get it lol

I thought you divide the weight of your car by 4...so my 620kg rims should be fine cause could support 2480kg load? So if you had an 1800kg ute + 1000kg load ÷ 4 = 700-750kg rating rim?

Or is that completely wrong lol

I know what your saying mate, but it's just not like that. He has to run a commercial load rated, like a light truck tyre.

I've been pulled up with my box trailer which has 17inch tickford wheels on it, tyres rated at 730kg each and the trailer probably weighs 400ish kg. It's rated to carry 750kg. The coppa tells me they need to be 6 ply pieces of sh*t or something. To which I reply "wait so it's OK to have them on the car plus the weight of the trailer on the car(single axle trailer) but it's not ok to have them on just the trailer because......??????" he looks at me blankly then says "oh well that's just the law mate sorry" and that's pretty much all their is to it. It's probably a law that was legislated in fkn 1952 or some sh*t......

Sounds like sh*t is strict and weird over east! Actually not even sure if its like that over here in WA.....f*ck commercial vehicles then lol

Well gunna, I agree with everyone else....WTF is the point of shooting for 450rwkw, when your poxy 215's will never hold the power down? Unless you just want a powercruise/tyre shredder...

Either way, will be good to see what direction this goes...I would just listen to your tuner and hopefully you get there!

He's said millions of times it's for power cruise/weekend fun

So many haters on here and most couldn't even dream of doing the kind of work gunnas done himself on his car..

If I were you I'd ditch the forum and just go give a good tuner your budget and what you want and get them to give you parts list/ideas

Yeah but weekend fun would be obscene with 450rwkw and 215s? And for PC....load ratings could be ignored and wider track rims could be used? (And maybe if he takes it down the quarter as well).

I wouldn't want that car next to me on a public road hitting full boost and putting his tray through my drivers side rear window :P

With 450rwkw there are probably zero tyres out there that are street legal and that will hold the power anyway. Et streets are still only good till about 350rwkw before they spin like 215s haha

ahhh touché! lol

Well when I say 'hold' lets say 215's cant hold 3rd? :P

Pretty sure there are tyres that hold 450rwkw in 2nd at least

Hey Gunna....wtf are you doing with your thread? Must have been a busy day of glazier-ing

that would never happen ,as I would be in front of you . not that you would see me as the smoke has to settle before you can keep driving lol . now lets just go back about 10 month . everyone said that 300 plus rwkw would be ridicules in a one tonner and madness to do (one person even said it would be un drivable ). I was sh*tting my self what have I done .after I got it on the road I was disappointed as it was just not enough power (ok it is not a good tune ) but I DO NOT WANT A EASY CAR TO DRIVE ,I want it to be fun and scary on the track . just remember that I can have two or four different tunes slow mild fun and wild . on the road I will just use a nice sedate tune to run around . I have looked around and can not find a ute like mine ,with all the mods I have done to this . not going to list everything I have done ,but it has only travelled 25,000klm in only 4 years . so most of the parts are not older than 25,000 klm . the ute is almost new , I have A FG xr 6 driver side seat near brand new ,just got to find the passenger side one (black ) just one more thing the true track diff is absolute beautiful ,as it just points you in a straight line when you do a power skid .I can hold it for a long time in a straight line and not even feel scared at all that it will suddenly go over one side (stuff you LSD owners that wiggle there ass constantly) the best thing about this ute is ,its not a xr 6 turbo that is made in a factory ,this is a one off two hand build xt one tonne ute in QLD (yes there is one more with even more power than mine ) so he must be even more retarded than me . I might be a dick head or looser in you're eyes . but if I sell this ute now I would think the same of my self . how about the guys that have those little Datsun utes with big turbo charged engines ,what are they to you.
