Twin plate, NPC, lighter than stock, holds 550kw

When I last spoke to MT about upgrading a year or so ago, they mentioned to me about this new NPC kit that they were using.

I am going to assume that this is the same kit Chaos is on about and is a twin plate.

something around $3000-$3200.

As mentioned it is lighter than factory which has caught my attention and can hold up to 550rwkw.

Not that I will ever get to that much power, but it is nice to know that it can handle that much.

If I ever do decide to get more power, I won't have to change it.

Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet guys. My standard clutch is pretty shagged now. It won't hold power on the flat in 3rd. I'm pretty confident I'll go with the NPC Single plate - 6 puk sprung center carbotic button clutch.

It seems to be the most cost effective for the highest power rating. From NPC "This clutch is better suited to extremely hard street use where engagement feel is not a high priority. 450 rwkw is no problem for this style of clutch."

Looking at 1700 for the complete kit. On a positive note, I'll be one step closer to an e85 tune

You (and your driveline) will hate driving that on the street. Source- I had one for 5 years.

Be prepared to left foot brake and power through in areas where you would normally slip the clutch a touch to get moving. Ie any incline or ramp

Thanks for your input...Yeah... I was wondering just how bad it would drive.

Car is only driven for fun on the weekends so drive ability is not as important as it once was.

From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) with this type of clutch, the corect way to drive them is to engage or disengage, there is no in between, which is why they suck for street use eg... driveways, speed bumps, hill starts..... is this what your getting at wiggum?

2k is my budget & It has to hold up to 450 killer wasps.

NPC definatepy rate highly from others.
