What sort of pressure drops have others seen across coolers?

It depends a lot on the amount of original pressure from the turbo, but less than 1 PSI drop is ideal.

Was 21psi at the turbo housing, which made 15psi at manifold, so 6psi drop.

Leaning towards a plaz tube & fin 1000hp in black at this stage, should do the trick!?

6psi drop? Did you leave a bit of rag in a pipe...?? What brand is the cooler ( I must have missed it if you listed it somewhere)

6psi from turbo housing to manifold yep, I'm 99% sure we are rag free but I suppose I can't completely say so without double checking. Won't be pulling it all off until the new cooler arrives though...

It could be a beloved Monza or the HDi or anything? As above it came off the wrecked white bf in pics, I'll buy a happy meal for anyone who can identify it :P

I hadn't considered rapid, does look very similar to that. Did they often run out of puff around that power level?

In the heat of the moment we didn't bother with a sheet. Figured we would be back pretty soon to get it fixed up then get one, may be able to get it emailed to me if we are really lucky & you're interested?

Iam always interested

And nar rapids gear was usually good at supporting decent rwkw but he did do a "street" version of his V2 that was smaller all round and I don't believe many got tuned or had a decent amount out there to know first hand if they were any good or not

Does the cooler span all the way across and right up to the underside of the safety catch on the bonnet area ?
