Find the guy that owns the place.  Move this up to the top of the hierarchy.

If insured then make a claim.

If not insured then get the most expensive quote possible and go serve a summons.

I another couple of days then stop holding back on keeping the business name quiet.  Not putting wheel nuts back on is quite a stuff-up.

Engage your insurance. They will chase up the shop. You aren't at fault so you shouldn't have to pay any excess.

This, fark them you gave them ample opportunity. The longer you wait to make a claim the more difficult it will get for you..

They have submitted a claim finally! I believe I am dealing with the top of the chain already...

I am insured comprehensive but don't have choice of repairer on my policy unfortunately or hire car. I am hoping to get these things from them and I think that's fair. Otherwise I would have just got my insurance to chase it sooner. I just need a claim number back now. I work in the car industry but must say this process is still an eye opener for me.

My partner was nice enough to lend me her car for the run to uni last night, must say I do enjoy it around town!

With light fading I picked up the car today! Was starting to forget what boost is. 4 weeks apart, and still no claim number from the at fault mechanic. No courtesy call no nothing. I haven't paid an excess so hopefully it's all resolved. Haven't had it in proper light yet but so far so good, and best part is zero stone chips, along with no cop sticker shadow in the bonnet!

No stone chips...I wonder if I'll ever know what that's like.  Night time flash photo of my car front makes it look like it's snowed on the thing.
