I built mine for 4500 myself using a spool kit plus oil pump gears , valve springs plus new plugs, coolant, gaskets, etc. The engine builder won't really do that much. All they will do is bore, deck the block, balance rotating assembly, machine crank if going under size or measure and fit 1 thou under bearings. Heads need more than a visual inspection, especially if your building an engine, very least it should be pressure tested/hardness tested, I've always got my valve seats and valves cut, ideally a new set of valves in a perfect world. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
