If its a zf open the coolant expansion tank before you go for a drive and look for signs of gearbox oil. Also be on the look out for any flaring being modded. Try and do some wide open changes if possible.

Rubber in the guards lol

Usual clunks from bushes. Not a deal breaker but may be able to knock the price down a bit.

Worn power window switches, one of my rear ones was farked when I bought it. Didn't even notice.

Outside temp sensor incorrect, another thing I didn't notice.

Make sure the aircon is cold and all works properly(mixer shaft)

Umm not sure what else

Edit: leaks around timing cover, rough idle.

If your really keen take a screw driver so you can remove some piping to check turbo shaft play. Hopefully it already has an after market oil feed and filter or screen removed

These are his mods that he's done in the past two years so I'm kinda happy.

If he's had it for only two it limits the time he could have thrashed it tbh.

- 20' staggered wheels with Pirelli P Zero rubber, plenty of tread

- Lowered on King Springs

- Rapid Intercooler

- 3.5' X-Force exhaust from turbo back

- Herrod cold air intake

- 80lb Siemens injectors

- SCT 3 tune box

Your better off to get a XR6 Turbo, will cost you less and for the money you spend you can get a much nicer condition one compared to a worse condition F6.

If you wan't bigger brakes and more power potential to begin then get a F6.

Another reason is because I love the F6's interior and the body kit etc. To me it feels better and doesn't remind me so much of a taxi haha (no offense)

Agree with Z2TT.

Expect to pay around 10-15K more for an F6 with same km and year.

For example if I had to sell my car I'd want around 30k. It's 2011, has 40,000km on it. Has had at least 15k spent on it. Brakes, suspension, wheels, power. An extra 15k is a lot.

I would want as new and as low km you can afford.

I'd be not worrying about whether it's an f6 or xr6 and just looking for a car that already has all the mods done cos you'll end up doing em anyway and you can save a packet buying it already done

Wish I did this.

Make sure it's all quality parts and done by a well known tuner though

Getting one with a built zf would be awesome cos that's 4 or 5 grand right there
