Hey thank you guys - you know it's you that make the cruise - excellent roads and good weather will always be there to be had  Had a great time thanks to awesome people and their cars :beerchug:

Thanks _Velocity_ fellow cc for backing me up with his bro, k31th for keeping me company on the cruise with his sage discussion, Wilko16 for breaking the drought and making his first ever cruise (and what a cruise to do it on), Raband for keeping the next gen interested (his son) and demon1300 (with his bro-in-law) for taking our vids to a new level (literally) :spoton:

Lots of exciting steep twisties to keep us pretty occupied and the RPMs high :drivingalong:

Am sure the pics and vids will flow forth soon - I'll try to get some more pics and a vid up soon

Looking forward to the Snowy's cruise planned for Fri 13 Nov - Sun 15 Nov (with optional day Mon 16 Nov) later this year - hear several forum characters are planning to come along :roflmbo:

Just walked in the door and am dead on my feet, too knackered to do words ;)

I concur with all above! Was a great weekend with great company!

A big thanks has to go to Gaz for making it all possible. I think it was the most highly organised cruise I've ever been on. Its no easy feat and it takes a lot of effort and planning for something to go so well.

Bring on the pics and vids. I'm glad I could be of some benefit to the crew

Now that I'm a little more awake :)

Fantastic company, roads, cars and meals.

Definitely an awesome route and can't imagine the amount of prep Gary put into it.

"There's a good place to pull over up here and I can go on to this point up ahead for some good photo shots"

"Likely places for cake are marked on your maps"

"This servo, this one and this one all have 98"

"I've called the butcher in Wodonga and he'll have a meat pack ready for us (and onions - sh*tload of onions)"

Methinks Gary did a little bit more than just pull up Google maps and plot a route that looked like it should be ok :)

Was great to head back to Gary's room for a complimentary port (or 2 or 3) and watch some of the footage from all the Go-Pro's. Makes me want to buy one now.

The drone was an awesome bit of kit and I was blown away with what it was doing. The footage from that was both great to see and a little bit scary :P Could imagine myself camping on the hill at Bathurst and having a lot of fun with one of them. Seeing all our cars from that height was a new experience and reminded me of a scalextric set :)

Makes me want to buy one now.

Thanks all for welcoming my son Aidan too - he'd been a bit crook all week and wasn't feeling quite normal. Thanks for not getting impatient on the 2nd day when the fast cornering got a little bit too much for him. He's taking a day off today - still feeling queasy, so it's a bit more of a bug that he's got than motion sickness :(

Dropped my car into Pitlane this morning to get the error that popped up twice properly diagnosed (P0783 - 34 Shift). Car thought it was flaring on the 3-4 change twice, but wasn't driving or changing any differently as far as I could tell. Fingers crossed there's nothing major to worry about - the Go-Pro's and the Drone I NEED to purchase now are already costing me too much.

Only other negative was a hidden boulder I scrapped when reversing at the weir wall - took a bit of a gouge out of the LHS skirt and (maybe) the bottom of the front panel. Is now the 2nd "ding" I've gotten - the other being on the same panel that a door fell on - at least I hadn't fixed the first one before the new one happened - can do them both at once.

Was great to meet the new faces (to me) and catch up with Gary, Nick and Lance again.

Was wrapped with how the car performed (except the ding and the error codes) and how fantastic the roads were (was able to wind the shocks on a lot further than I thought I'd be able to - the roads were that good.)

Will definitely be pencilling in the Snowy Cruise for later this year. Aidan should have his learners by then and not be feeling crook, so a bit of open road for him to steer should make him feel even more a part of the group.

Hope everyone made it home safe with no new stone chips.

Thanks again everyone.

I think this will be one of the most expensive cruises for a lot of us. Not because of breakdowns but seeing all the accessories (GoPros and that drone lol) everyone had. After seeing the way your car handled with those coil overs Rab I'm really considering purchasing a set!

Not to take anything away from any of the past cruises but this one has been my favourite. Great route, great little group and the pace set was just right.

You're not wrong with the coil-overs.

I can't praise them enough - definitely the most rewarding mod I've done. Transformed the car in ways that any power mods can't touch, all without compromising comfort or day to day driveability.

All I want now is better stopping power and I'll be set.
