I guess it's a pretty straight-forward red that almost any generic red you paint over it (like Steve suggested :P ) would look pretty much the same as the original Brembo red. :)

I've got the opposite dilemma......
Bought a set of new six spot Brembos and trying to decide wether to paint the rear calipers to match?

Or paint the whole lot black so they DON'T stand out?........decisions??....

Nah....I'd never do that.....main reason being that throughout my build I've made a point of hiding everything I could.....just to be different you know..

You could see my car on the street or on the racetrack and not even give it a second glance.....just looks like a clean but stock XR6T....

I've had the intercooler and piping done in satin black so you can't see them......

Set up my oil coolers behind the headlight and run a 3" tube from the corner of the front air intake (painted matt black)....to draw air through it.....then cut small slots in the wheelarch splashshield to let the air out..

Made up extra heat sheilds under the bonnet to hide stuff like dump pipes.....lift the bonnet and it still looks stock.....even fitted a silicone hose kit and rubbed off the brand names to make the hoses look like factory.....

I've even made up a "stock appearing" exhaust tip to fit over the 2 1/2" tailpipes!......so from behind it looks like a stock system....

Sourced two sets of BA XR6 18" alloys because I wanted to use "factory" wheels not aftermarket......

This is why I'm seriously considering doing the calipers in black with no brembo stickers to maintian the theme.....

I know it might seem a bit weird to some......but I'm seriously into stealth......lol

Anyone actually know where to get the BREMBO red paint?...Or know the paint code?

From: http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-tires-wheels-brakes-suspension-sponsored-tire-rack/664752-correct-brembo-caliper-paint.html

In my searches, I have found a factory red that is an exact match. However the vehicle was not available in the US. You may be able to find a paint shop to mix it up for you.

It's called Tiziano red by Fiat. the paint code is 199 (or 199a, I can't remember)

I am not a fan of "caliper paint" because it's extremely thick, and never looks good. What you need to do, is do a base coat/then clear coat with a good 2K clear. This is the same thing done with auto bodies.

a) powder coat them in a close color. Not as OEM, but a stronger coating than OEM (IF DONE RIGHT)

or:

b) Prime them with a 2K epoxy primer. Color shoot them with a base coat (BTW, I looked up the paint code. You can pull it off of a 2000 Fiat Doblo paint code 199A) After the base coat has fully flashed, paint the brembo with a white base coat (Toyota 040 Super White II is the closest) with a stencil. Then paint the whole thing with a good quality HARD 2K clear coat. (Dupont Imron Elite is a quality solvant resistant clear coat)

I used Red VHT high temp and VHT enamel clear coat. They came out pretty damn close to stock. It took about 5-6 hours total from cleaning to drying to multiple coats of each. Brembo decals you can get on ebay.

In Perth, take the calipers to Aeroplate, which is next to Perth Brake Parts. He does powder coating, acid dipping, etc.

Pull the calipers apart first - very simple thing to do. Take photos, put things in plastic bags and make notes if you have to.

I had six calipers done at $50/caliper a couple of months ago. But I had everything disassembled down to every last part.

Bolts that were in calipers that were burned in a car fire came out like brand new.
