that insurance "name only" is a super idea!!

Nah..can't do that 'cause she knows that the insurance will cover ANYONE as long as they have a licence and are not drunk/on drugs. She read the contract that came with the lease papers :idunno:

I'm not worried about the car, she can drive that, but not the bike. That's personal.

do what I did! buy a motor bike that's too big for her to reach on. that way at least you get one toy to your self!

Let me tell you a story...

One of my lecturers at college used to won an old V12 Jag that he loved more than anything. He went overseas on a business trip for a few days and left the Jag in his wife's care. He's back after his trip, and he's waiting for her to pick him up. In the distance he sees this car with smoke billowing out of the exhaust pipe, and thinks to himself "I wouldn't wanna be driving that thing"

As you can probably guess, yes, it was his wife driving the Jag. I forgot what the problem was, but a little lamp was on but she ignored it and kept driving the car regardless. The engine required a full rebuild but the care was never the same again. They have since divorced! hehe

So, it's really up to you. If she knows how to treat a car, leave her the keys. If she drives her car for as long as they'll go without checking ANYTHING, lock the car up and take the keys with you.

Me? NO ONE drives my car but me! Dad wants to take it for a spin but nope! I've had mechanics (ppl who are meant to know a fair bit about cars and how to drive them) damage my car on numerous ocassions, and I can't see why he'd be any better. Especially considering his van's full of dings and scratches, and at this stage, all but one of the indicator lenses have been broken!

I'm in the same boat, I'm off to the GP in a couple of weeks and my car is turning up a week before and my missus is threatening to picking me up at the airport with bold tyres.

Definately!!! I have tried to upload a couple of pics of my car, but it says I do not have access for this facility. (But, it might just be me!!!) I'll be taking plenty of happy snaps with the trusty digital camera!!! Also means that when we go on club runs he'll take his and I'll take mine! The kids are already fighting over who will go with who!
