(usually the left rear end)Took the car into Ford and they changed all diff bushes and also changed the tailshaft, but it hasn't solved the problem.I'm sure I'm not the only one with an FG XR6T that has this problem...(well I hope I'm not)...has anyone been able to solve this great mystery of the universe?I would have thought Ford would have been all over this issue by now... They distort until they can't any more, Tires start to spin, Bush "relaxes" and start to absorb the load again tires grip. God666 Complete Bastard Donating Members 1,123 Member For: 20y 11m 18d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 24/02/15 02:32 AM Share Posted 24/02/15 02:32 AM I spent an awful lot of time changing and adjusting suspension setup before I threw a gopro under my car and found that what was originally thought to be axle tramp, is as suggested above, the very soft diff bushes allowing the diff to nose up under high torque, lose traction, drop back down and repeat etc. This caused that horrendous thump thump thump. Solution, change the three x diff bushes out with something more robust. If you are running stock power/torque, you can probably get away with the Superpro Comfort bushes. I tried those and failed (750nm torque) and eventually finished with the Superpro competition bushes which does give you a bit more NVH however, it controlled the diff nosing up. Tyre King at Baulkham Hills did a full wheel alignment and it disappeared.
