I've searched and come across HP tuning software, which looks like it may work for me and my old school approach. Can someone shed some light on there experience with this Software pros vs cons. TIA

SCT/XCAL has a slightly larger number of parameters mapped, but is basically unavailable unless you have a shop front and dyno (may not be an issue for you)I've been using HPT for 5 years and it has improved greatly (up to including ZF trans support in the latest beta's) and would recommend it for an application such as yours. Also check out the HPT Forum for Aus Fords if you haven't alreadyhttp://www.hptuners.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?71-Ford-Tuning-Engine-Gas-(AU-Vehicles)

The scanner sucks for HP but you can buy second hand xcals cheap and download livelink free. Although from memory with a BA you are fairly limited for logging also in terms of DMR's. Luke will clarify though.
