Would love to see someone do it though. Spiro sent me a soft copy but I can't find it and apart from that, my connection to this forum stops me from attaching files or copying and pasting text! And I have no doubt that Spiro has set the boost to its optimum level.I a Datsun with an after-market turbo many years ago. It used water injection to enable it to run 9lb of boost on the old pink Super fuel we burned back then. How is methanol set up these days? What gains does it offer? Aquamist sells kits but there may be cheaper ways to set up methanol injection. Thanks for the info on E85. I envisaged E85 cars burning only this fuel. It's still a less than optimum solution as (I would imagine) it involves running the tank just about empty before an E85 refill - and E85 remains hard to find. I wonder if a variable geometry turbo is available and if it would produce a broader power band? Wikipedia has a page on this topic.PAH Edited 28/01/15 08:20 PM by PAH Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/89984-what-mods-after-the-gtx3576/page/2/#findComment-1526426 Share on other sites

PTE6235 will bolt on without requiring any major mods, then just need a retune. Spiro got 450rwks on mine with 98ron, still a conservative/safe tune. Or look at the 6466 with smaller rear housing for quick spool and even more power. They're the best by far when it comes to outright power and good spool. They are megga pricey though and can be difficult to fit. Highly worth looking at if your into changing turbos.Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/89984-what-mods-after-the-gtx3576/page/2/#findComment-1526611 Share on other sites

Only worth doing if starting from scratch as will need new dump pipe, intake etc. If you have allready done everything else the precisions and garrets are bolt on. Also quality nozzle's to fine mist at high pressure. As for more power I would probably change your intake to a bigger turbo side intake for best flow possible and buy quality tyres that will hold ALL your power from take off as the tyres seem to be the biggest thing most people scrimp on after power upgrades!Get all the skidding and tyre smoking out of your system first then change to an extremely grippy tyre...As for water/meth it is an excellent chemical power adder and cooling system and from memory with regards to chatting with my tuner he mentions generally 3 degrees (or more?) of timing can be added when using the injection. This is in the Nth Qld so I'm not sure what gains would be available to you as temperatures are totally different (mainly humidity).
