Good job stripey..

Can I make a suggestion?

Well you're getting it anyway.

Target maybe 90kgs on optifast mate (that's gotta be back to a fairly healthy weight range for you).. Then reduce the optifast and start getting back into just healthier eating and exercise to go the rest of the way.. Just to establish better habits.

I've never lost as much as you have but I know when I dropped 15kg it was incredibly hard to stay on the wagon.

I'm pretty well committed to the first 12 weeks of the Optifast Brendo. I appreciate I'll have a lot of work to do to form good eating habits either way, but I've got a dietician and she's keen to help me once I've finished the Optifast and support me through that.

According to the Optifast weight tracker thingo it reckons I should be at 94kgs at the end of the 12 weeks...if I keep pushing as hard as I am I should be mid 80's hopefully. Apparently for my height (176cm) my healthy weight range is 62kg-77kg...so as close as I can get to that on the Optifast the better.

The Optifast program is staged though, so after those initial 12 weeks I'm supposed to replace one of the shakes with a meal, a serve if dairy and a serve of fruit.

Mate what you are doing is outstanding and the degree of mental fortitude and dedication you are showing is nothing short of inspirational.

However I will admit I'm a tad concerned that your dieting like all hell and doing cardio only. I would think and I'm not sure what advice your getting. You to start incorporating weights into the mix. It will slow down your weight loss. But hopefully it will save you some muscle and floppy skin.

That sh*t doesn't go away you need surgery.

Anyway mate please don't think I'm being negative cause I'm not.

You are doing a bloody great thing and I wish I had s third of your dedication.

Cheers Kimbo. I guess I did plan on incorporating weights at some stage...but was probably going to start that after this initial 12 week stage.

My doctor didn't seem too concerned with me having floppy skin, he reckoned that generally happens with guys around the 160kg + mark, not so much the weight I was.

Most annoying thing for me though is the fact that coz I comfort ate so much and previously crash dieted unsuccessfully then put all the weight back on quickly again I'm f*cking covered in stretch marks :( all around my arms, chest, stomach, sides...gonna sh*t me coz there's nothing I can really do about them, I'm essentially stuck with them even once I'm at my goal weight. So that's in the back of my mind, the fact that I'll be lean, fit and healthy...but still look like sh*t without my shirt on.

There's oils you can use.

I'm sure Fluffy will tell you.

That at and and some buldging muscle, will allay those concerns.
