I also really liked that Fitbit charge with built in hrm

At the time it was set to be released in months time and still didn't have the alerts that the Garmin has which is a big deal for work with me

If I can avoid grabbing my phone I will so reading texts etc are really important to me

However apparently (couple blokes have the Fitbit at work) the ap is much better.... And I think it looks a bit better

Even though the screen is small and says fark all... However if your lifting etc the bigger the woser imo ... So Garmin still wins

Then again Fitbit auto sleeps (which u can set the Garmin to do) and also has altitude levels where the Garmin doesn't ....

Tough one

Fitbit it is then. Most day ill smash out 20000 step and also 1.5 to 2 hours gym a day so it would be better to see the results of the whole day not just when I have my phone on me.

Makes things interesting running on a treadmill with a note 4 in the pocket.

Get hit in the pen*s alot. Not good.

You need a Samsung gear watch if you want something that doesn't require a phone.

But that needs a new sim card and data plan.

Vivosmart is great for reading text messages. In gym your phone could be 10m away and you'd still get your messages.

I dont care about sms and wake up alarms. Just steps, hrm, calories, distance climbed and sh*t like that. So fitbit might be the go for me then.

Yeah probably

Garmin does all but altitude so probably Fitbit then

However I must admit

I love the Garmin ap coz of the group competitiveness though

Garmin is definitely more focused on groups unless fitbit has changed a bit.

Fitbit app is way better!

Built in HRM would be good also but I have read the wrist based HRMs can be useless.
