And this was my point to Keith

It's not always about being fat

There are fat people who are healthier then skinny people

But after my rant

Holy fhark panda

My sincere wishes of love and wellbeing to u atm, that's not a very Fharkn good thing to go through and it sucks to have that! But on the upside u might be one of the lucky ones who finds out this way and does this now and lives a happy life til 100 instead of having a proper heart attack at 47 and that being it for u.... And u never knowing u were at risk.

Think of it as natures way of telling you your one of the lucky ones who gets to find out early that your body needs that to live and u get to follow it and be healthy.

Stripes

U wouldn't stress too much at this point

Usually letters are automated by results x matched to reception and the auto system coz doctors always send that sh*t out even if anything minor is over, if anything is bad bad then they always call....

But I will be thinking of u anyhow coz it always sucks when that crap happens

Both u boys look after yourselves ok!!!

So many thought going out to u both

Thanks fluff. Yeah, I'm fairly certain it's nothing new...but he did run a bunch of extra thyroid tests, so who knows. Not too stressed about it atm, will find out next week anyway. Until then gonna smash the optifast and squash hard!

Still waiting for all the feedback on where to from here. Shall talk to the docs and see what happens.

Farken hell lads!

Stripes - dont lose too much sleep, if your dr thought chit was real he would have asked to see you immediately, so dont stress too much. easy for me to say I know, but yeah.

NHASP - wow dude. Be thankful you found out now! I read a story in Mens Health recently where a bloke who was lining for City to Surf, nek minnit he woke up in ICU, so this chit doesn't discriminate. I do like your attitude - chit needs to change, and quick. sometimes its a shake up like this that can turn your life around for the better. Live for your little boy, make him the reason you want to get fit and change your habits.

Swaying a bit off topic not not really.... work isnt all about the $$$$$, I learnt that early on. Flexibility, time off, and most importantly a happy work atmosphere; happiness/work life balance are most important to me

In my previous job in spare parts I dreaded taking time off, as id be mopping up the disaster weeks later that the casual staff left behind. Now working for government, I take time off, and its all sweet. The hardest thing about coming back is bragging to fellow workmates about what I did on my time off lol

See I'm a little different. I couldn't stand how slow the wheels of government turned.

8 to 10 full time government staff worked together and delivered the first section of a project in 2.5 years.

Myself and 1 other bloke did the second section in 3 months.

Seems I can't handle the pace either private or gov at the moment.

dont work against the system, work for it!!!

10 govvie workers, how much time off did they take? what would you rather do - be at work flogging yourself for private enterprise, or playing golf on a flex day?
