Do you have any idea if your body fat percentage. Without sounding like a sleezeball a pic of your naked torso will give me an idea. Could of used a word other than naked but f*ck it. 6 hours sleep is enough if it's quality. You didn't answer smart phone question but you need to start tracking food intake, I could tell you eat heaps but by the sounds of it you would struggle to do that so you need to track it and build up a knowledge and pattern get myfitness pal or another calorie counter and start today. I am more familiar with calories and I get 2100 per day. That seem reasonable but I have no idea how active you are. The advantage of myfitnespal is it allows to enter all this data and your goals and helps you with your goals and macros (protein, carbs and fats). The other but of info is your body develops a set point. In real simple terms that's the weight that the body give or take a few kilos goes back to. It's hard to change that set point. You need to work hard. You want info how to increase mass. Here's your steps.Get up and start myfitnespal and get Intel in what you eat and what it expects you to eat. Do whatever exercise you want. Obviously resistance trying is preferable. But as long as your not a long distance runner then it all helps. Get a pic lets guess your BF percentage we know your burgher and weight me lets track monthly. Make a decision and commit and be consistent. You fall of the horse so to speak. Get back on it and carry on

HahaBody fat percent would be extremely low. The last time I had it measured was when I was 18 (my body shape has hardly changed since then), and from memory it was right on the borderline BMI of "underweight". Not that it bothered me as I'm quite healthyYes, I have a smartphone. No I don't need a tracker to keep track of my activity or intake. maybe once I push into new areas I'll need to keep a closer eye on everything. FFYI, the recommended daily intake of an average height/weight adult male is 8,700kJ which converts to be 2,079 calories.. (kilojoules are roughly a quarter of the size of a calorie so any calorie amounts multiply by 4 (approx) to get the kJ rating.I know from experience that I need anywhere from 1.5x to 2.5x that amount if I'm to include the heavy exercise that I used to do. Not that it bothered me as I'm quite healthyBMI is not body fat percentage. Is a different thing. I believe that you would be fatter thank you think. Your not giving me any info so I cannot say categorically. Yes, I have a smartphone. No I don't need a tracker to keep track of my activity or intake. maybe once I push into new areas I'll need to keep a closer eye on everything. You said you wanted to put on weight and that you eat heaps. Assuming that you DO want to put on weight. Then yes you do need a tracker. It's free why the hesitancy? No you don't eat heaps. I lose weight at anything under 3000 calories a day. You eat like a skinny man. Guess what you are a skinny man. You have said it yourself so I'm not being insulting. FYI, the recommended daily intake of an average height/weight adult male is 8,700kJ which converts to be 2,079 calories.. The fact is you not me stated that you wanted to get bigger and I'm typing this I can't read two pages of posts but I believe you asked for advice on how to do that. Then when offered you become a know it all. Bullsh*t. Your making excuses and not committing. Here is a no bullsh*t assessment. If it gets me warned so be it. Your stature is on the lower end of the BMI scale and I believe your what I call skinny fat. You asked for help but when offered will argue how you don't need it. Your lying to yourself or more scary to bloody scared to commit to what is needed to effect real change in your life. On the small interaction I've had with you in the past 24 hours I believe that your a bullsh*t artist, but more importantly you are deluding yourself. Tell me to f*ck off call me a wanker I don't care. Put in some hard data and prove me wrong, good for you. But the definition of stupidity is " doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result", you are being stupid. Eat more record it to prove to yourself more than me. Do more resistance activity regularly. Break that set point. Stop being a pussy.

I believe that you would be fatter thank you think. Your not giving me any info so I cannot say categorically." - well, there is no categorical way then, is there? You said you wanted to put on weight and that you eat heaps. Assuming that you DO want to put on weight. Then yes you do need a tracker. It's free why the hesitancy? - I just want to put on (muscle) weight, so don't stress too much whether I keep track of it in my head or a smartphone app. I explained quite clearly that the only thing holding me back is budget from being able to achieve this.No you don't eat heaps. I lose weight at anything under 3000 calories a day. You eat like a skinny man. Guess what you are a skinny man. You have said it yourself so I'm not being insulting. - Yes I am skinny and yes I'm aware of roughly the minimum intake of calories I need so I can go ahead and buy cheap/nasty/fatty/carbo-loaded food and just eat what is necessary to maintain the status quo until I can find the available resources to make significant changes.Great you can read a generic but if data on the Internet written by a medical community sh*t scared of getting sued so everything is based on mediocrity. The fact is you not me stated that you wanted to get bigger and I'm typing this I can't read two pages of posts but I believe you asked for advice on how to do that. Then when offered you become a know it all. - I did not get this information from the internet. Just through trial and error. (aside from the kj/cal conversion, of course). my original quote - need a way to eat that doesn't cost much (critical) and also puts on weight (not so critical) haha - this does not show that I asked for advice other than in a joking manner. I did not expect somebody to realistically respond with such vigour. Not that I'm not appreciative of your advice, though, I really do appreciate anyone's real world experiences. Bullsh*t. Your making excuses and not committing. - That could be true. I might be able to find a way to fit more into my budget/schedule, but at the moment I'm satisfied with how everything is. Here is a no bullsh*t assessment. If it gets me warned so be it. - Like I said above, any real world advice is appreciated.Your stature is on the lower end of the BMI scale and I believe your what I call skinny fat. - I would agree with this assessment but at my "perceived" body fat percentage it would just be "skinny" You asked for help but when offered will argue how you don't need it. - read aboveYour lying to yourself or more scary to bloody scared to commit to what is needed to effect real change in your life. - read aboveOn the small interaction I've had with you in the past 24 hours I believe that your a bullsh*t artist, but more importantly you are deluding yourself. - I guess that's your opinion. I'm quite satisfied with my already derived logical outcomes to the situation. Tell me to f*ck off call me a wanker I don't care. - more educated in the field than most people who give advice on the internet, so no, I have no reason to tell you to go away.Put in some hard data and prove me wrong, good for you.- I have nothing to prove, neither to myself or anybody on the internet. But the definition of stupidity is " doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result", you are being stupid. - I'm confused where I stated what I was doing would achieve a different result? Eat more record it to prove to yourself more than me. - read aboveDo more resistance activity regularly. Break that set point. - resistance requires somethign to resist against which I have very little of... should I buy a tower 200 Stop being a pussy. - not sure why an insult is necessary, but OK, if that's your opinion. My responses in bold. I had no idea if you were going to be offended or respond you did the later. Briefly me ex military. Crew commander leopard tank and sub unit physical train In 14 week course I wrote and managed squadron PT 40 to 50 blokes on a big day. Pte to Maj with the occasional LtCol dropping in. All as a CPL. Trust me I know what build you are to answer your question yeah I can gauge with reasonable accuracy what BF percentage you are by looking at your torso. I don't know how you know how much you eat. How long a period you calculated that. Couldn't be stuffed try to delet all my info and put your stats in to see what you should eat. But 2800 to 3000 calories a day would be a reasonable start point. Before I get a warning I will leave it that. I wish you well.

Just the fact that I struggle to balance my internal body temperature "feeling" in both hot and cold weather might give you an idea (external temperature differences make big differences, in short). The way I figure out the correct amount of food is both body comfort and hunger satisfaction. I often supplicate known small meals with other carbo-loaded foods to make me "feel better", but that's it. It's just about being comfortable with my own body functions. Some of the "meals" that satisfy that I've eaten always seem to be around a certain kilojoule level, which is usually around the 1,000 calorie mark. simple maths from there.Like I said, the advice is welcome and when I have an opportunity to take it on, I might do it. Until then I just can't buy enough calories without eating pasta every day with the small amount of funds I allocate to food on a day to day basis.
