^^

Wheetbix until you can't force any more in for breakfast.

Loaf of bread and a few tins of tuna for lunch.

Whatever the missus cooks for dinner or pub special.

Haha reasonable advice. I'm not eating breakfast at all, having cheap meals for lunch and dinner as I work from home, live by myself and I'm single so I have no motivation to cook much.

I'm curious why do you believe you do to much exercise.

Unfortunately cheap food is usually processed crap food and the food you really want to be eating is hard to prepare and costly. This is a generalisation and not completely true.

I'm assuming you have an eating pattern that suits your budget. But is failing to allow you to gain weight (also assuming that your inability to gain weight is why you believe you exercise to much, but are generally interested in your response).

So why can you not just add two or three weight gain shakes to your daily schedule. The supplement market is competitive with specials all the time if you care to look around. The weight gain shakes in particular are cheap and easy to get your hands on.

As an ex physical trainer in the Army. I've had plenty of people tell me they eat like a pig and can never put on weight. Whilst it is harder for some to put on weight. I have yet to experience a person who told me this and when pressed actually ate calories regularly on a surplus and mostly ate f*ck all and smoked like chimneys.

Mate if you want to put on weight I can help. If you want to put on lean weight I can help but it requires more vigilance and discipline from you.

But here is what I would need to know.

Age

Sex

Weight

Training regime and expended calories per day, per week.

Food diary with ingested calories per day and week.

The more accurate and un doctored info you can provide the better it is to help.

But f*ck me. Putting on weight in simplistic terms is bloody easy.

Three rules.

EAT big

LIFT big

SLEEP big.

Just putting it simply. I don't believe it's too much exercise at all. Ectomorph body shape/size with a fast metabolism and just a "moderate" regimen of exercise is plenty to keep the status quo. Too expensive at the moment to intake enough calories to actually put on lean muscle weight.

Mate please don't take offence to this. But what I'm about to say is based on years and years of experience.

But what a load of excrement.

Most people would love to be in your position and you say you want it. But I don't believe you.

Once again. Not meant to be deragatory or insulting and there is a small small chance that you are an exception to the norm, but I highly doubt it.
