When I first went to see him back before I found any motivation he came across as a hard ass and kinda scared me off...but since then I've come to appreciate it's coz he actually genuinely cares. He's been mum's GP for years and seen all the sh*t she's gone through (mum has rheumatoid arthritis - nasty autoimmune disease where her immune system tries to kill her, plus all the crap with the cancer scare etc) and he saw me at my worst, when my blood work put me well on a path towards diabetes at a young age and he was super stoked when I did something about it and got myself healthy. So I know it's coming from a good place, and he didn't say it in a nasty way or anything...just said that I put in a lot of effort to get to where I was and that it'd be a shame to let that go to waste. He also said it's better for me as it puts a lot less strain on my body, which is ideal if I'm trying to wean off my heartburn meds.

Determined to get my sh*t together after the visit to the doctor last week, so wanna do a month or so. Been feeling really bloated and sluggish, so want to get back to feeling lighter on my feet. So consumed about 800 calories yesterday on the Opitfast and went and played 2.5hrs of squash and burnt like 1,500 calories doing so...I'm actually pretty happy with that effort. Average heartrate over the first 2hrs was 153, maxing at 192. The last half hour was a bit slower as I was struggling for energy, average of 140. How's everyone else going with their goals? The hot stretch with selling my house and moving. I just couldn't be stuffed. Slowly getting the itch to get back into it. Played my first game of Masters AFL today. Holy sh*t I'm fried. Day 4 back on the Opti for me...burnt 3,675 calories playing squash the last 3 nights. Daily intake total for those 3 days was around 2,400. I've actually been really impressed with how well my body has been coping energy wise considering minimal caloric intake. I'd say my body's well into ketosis by now. Did I tell you about the time back in uni when I ate 1kg of peanut butter M&M's in a day?... That's more why I'm wanting to stick on a month of this again...reset my brain to realise food is fuel and I don't NEED to eat just for the sake of it. That's a problem.

Especially with my current housemates...can't run my own fridge and our fridge and freezer is always full of their sh*t, so no chance of me fitting a week or mores worth of meals in there. And I don't like the idea of doing a shop only to find out I have nowhere to put the food.
