How's everyone's training going, summer break of beach and babes is just around the corner.

I've been plodding along, but starting to step it up a notch or two.

Pretty poorly lately, to be honest. Need to up the ante but haven't been in a great headspace.

Not good to hear mate but success doesn't come without setbacks.

Given what you have achieved you know what you need to do.

Hard though when your heads not in it.

My suggestion start even if it's a grind.

Well, been killing it this week! Been back on the Optifast (and actually WANTING to do it and have the commitment in my head to see it through, rather than half-ass it) since Wednesday morning and been played squash every night since flying up to site Tuesday. Squash is definitely harder with minimal caloric intake...but it'll be easier being 10kg lighter, so silver linings and all that.

Also, noticed this week that Garmin recently released the Vivosmart HR which has the HR monitor built into the wrist band.

My Vivosmart is on it's way out I think. It doesn't vibrate anymore and part of the screen is farked. So I'm hoping I can take it back the Hardly Normals and get one of the new HR ones and not have to wear a chest strap to monitor my HR anymore.

Mate great to hear.

Not sure on the tech with wrist HR. I want it to work just not sold yet.

Remember mate start putting in resistance training.

100 push-ups a day. Sets of ten if you have to.

Yeah was hitting the gym a bit over the last few months, nothing outrageous but was definitely getting involved. Making the most of one of my mates being up on site to play squash with this swing and then for half of next swing (he's on a rotating roster), at which point I'll shift and hit the gym instead.

GF and I have set ourselves the challenge to be able to jog 5km together when she comes to visit in December, so I'm determined to be able to do that easily (which is my primary motivation for going intense over the next few weeks before she gets here...that and wanting to look good naked for her haha). Plus I've got my snowboarding trip to Japan coming up in January, so want to be lean, fit and healthy for that so I can make the most of it!
