Well, tried it again tonight on a long walk and it seemed to perform much better. I'll give it a few weeks and see how it goes. Maybe it was just a little too loose or something last night.

So the Vivosmart HR started giving me blisters on my wrist...back it went and got a full refund as they didn't have a replacement original Vivosmart bundle. Might do a bit more research for what to buy...

GF and I have set ourselves the challenge to be able to jog 5km together when she comes to visit in December, so I'm determined to be able to do that easily.

Nailed it!

Not exactly an impressive time or average pace, but I jogged 5km straight for the first time in a could of years I think.

I'd take a parmi over steak any day of the week, sorry guys.

I've fluctuated a few kgs up and down over the last few months. Hovering around 85kgs +/- 3kgs ish. I'm now of the mindset that I want to avoid swapping between binging on lots of crap food, then smashing Optifast and want to try stabilise somewhat while eating "normally". Once I can achieve that then I'll try lose 5-10kgs more gradually by being mindful of what I eat and exercising. My goal is to set better long term habits and not feel like I'm always on a diet.

Oh and after going through 3 Vivosmarts in a year, then getting blisters from the Vivosmart HR I gave up.

Sorry to hear your bad trot with the vivo's and the blistering from the HR edition sounds like your skin doesn't like the rubber band which can happen because on wrist HR monitors require you to have them up really tight to work properly.

What is your local HN store mate? I still have some older vivosmart HR editions in my store if wanting a new one. The screen issue you had is a batch issue, and my stock is a little older so hopefully no such issues.

Have you tried the Vivoactive? That's what I use and you can get it with the strap if needed instead of on wrist monitoring. Best tracker I have used, I'm about to go up to the Fenix 3! Let me know if want help with anything.

Probably a good idea... f*ck drinking shakes cos you can't do that long term so once you start eating real food again it all comes back.. better to learn to eat properly to keep your weight down.

if you're a solid 80-85ish you should look fine though right? I look anorexic under 80 and I'm only 175cm. 84 kg I start to look like a pin head
