Mate I've been hiding... Dead set been nearly 12 months since I've been on here. Blew the ba up, stuck the new donk in, pissed it off, seen it driving around so that's good. Had a stupid slow arse oil burner that I'm hating because I miss the ute so much. So she's sold and I picked up a '10 lux pack manual mystic ute with 50000km on her for a bargain, stoked is an understatement!

Decent gains mate. Pic on the right will be the sort of physique I'll be aiming for.

Saw dietician this morning and told me same as Kimbo and biz...time to start resistance training.

She also wants me to start adding more servings of veggies in so that my body gets used to intaking more food...that way as I'm phasing proper, balanced meals back in it doesn't seem like way too much food...which, I gotta be honest, at the moment the amount of food she wants me to eat sounds daunting...

Honestly stripes, when I don't train I don't eat. I'm only 5'8 and ~75kg give or take a bit, but when I'm training heavily, I NEED to eat 4000 calories of good food or I lose weight, no bull. You'll be amazed once your body goes 'sh*t I can use this to build' how hungry you will be.

I always tell people don't look at the scales either. You might lose 6kg in 4 weeks and it all be fat. You'll look better a little. You lose 6kg fat but gain 3kg of muscle ( obviously muscle takes a while) you're only 'down' 3kg but you will see a seriously noticeable difference.

Dieting is great, but when stacked with decent exercise (moderately heavy resistance is always good for everything) you'll be amazed at the recomposition, not weight loss. Meaning your body will change drastically, even though the scales might say otherwise

Yeah well my initial priority was dumping weight fast, as my health was suffering as a result of how much weight I was carrying.

By the end of the 12 week intensive phase of the Optifast (3 weeks to go) I should be in the 70's...so, as my dietician told me today, at which point building muscle while still reducing fat is the goal...so weight is less important at that stage.

Had a chit of a weekend, a fair bit went down in the land of shrekus, so I comfort ate like nothing else. Salted caramel and macadamia ice cream, plus a block of Cadburys, goneski...

But yesterday I hit the gym for a good cardio session, and ive got my meals squared away for this week. Ive also got my Vivosmart back online, so theres no excuses!

My best weight was 102.6kg on the 27th April. Weight this morning was 104.9kg, down from Mondays weigh in of 105.8kg. I know I shouldn't be watching the scales, and I shouldnt weigh myself everyday, but that my thing, that's what I do.
