Walk a certain distance (more is better, but you don't really need to walk more than about a thousand feet or 300 meters) and count your steps. Run that same distance, and count your steps. Enter that in the Pace settings in the User settings of your app. It will calculate your Stride length based upon what you enter. It's a good idea to revisit this from time to time; your stride will increase as you get faster or take fewer walk breaks when running.Typically, your distance will be off for just that one day. Try again tomorrow.
