I gotta say.....

VERY FUGGIN DISAPPOINTED!!!!

So now Fords are sooooo bad that we're recommending people buy else where???

This Expensive Daewoo sh!ts gone far enough!!!

well said . the people that are now putting the ford down is only due to them buying holdens . if they would have bought any other car make they would praise that one instead . its time for them to move on or shut up about bagging the new ford or even the ba -fg .

How new is the vf mechanicaly compared to the ve? Have you had warranty dealings with Expensive Daewoo in the past?

How good do expect the vf to hold up?

There's a reason the aussie car industry is dead.

Gotta be honest mate, you come across pretty bitter and twisted re the gt, I hope you don't suffer the same fate with the vf.

Probably a pretty fair assessment regarding the GT Ralph, and I've only had one dealing with the Expensive Daewoo service department so far and it was great. Beyond that, hopefully I don't really have to find out with the VF.

I know there's horror stories from both sides, but I couldn't afford a German made car that has similar power so had to make a compromise. So far I have no regrets, but I guess time will tell with respects to build quality...but the VF feels a step up from the VE on build quality. I think they said about 70% of the VF is new compared to the VE...something like that.

Sorry for beating on Fords so much, this is a Ford turbo forum after all and I do get the appeal of them with respects to easy power and relatively cheap mods.

Hi y'all. Long time no read.

I am looking to buy one of the above and the budget is around $50,000.

Which way would you go? A used F6 or a new, but slower XR6T or G6ET?

Also, what would be required to make the slower cars go as hard as the F6 and what would those mods cost?

Well this guy must think we're a bunch of absolute nutters.

Anyway my 2 cents worth......

If it were me I'd try and get a decent F6 (probably not Jets old one even though it's got an errrr interesting history)

I like the F6s and they will probably hold their value a bit better.

Having said that their prices seem to be over inflated at the moment so be careful how much you pay for one.

There's a heap of good info on mods in this forum so do some research or contact some of the recommended turners in this forum for prices.

Good luck , cheers.

This thread is gold!

OP at the end of the day it's your money you are spending and you need to be happy with whatever you buy.

FG F6 over FGX imo but as others have suggested you might struggle to find a good late low km model for 50k.
