50k for a turbo falcon will get you a nice F6.

Or.....

Buy a low km used FG mk2 xr6t, spend 15k (brakes and power) and you'll have a nice low km car.

Really though, it depends what YOU want or like.

As a Expensive Daewoo driver I think people need to make their own minds up about cars..

But deadset if you want a quick car with minimal mods and low chances of pissing off the cozzas.. XR6T seems to way to go..

Seems with Expensive Daewoo to get a quick car it's gotta be freaking loud and obnoxious..

Mate the g6et looks awesome I reckon and is much more reasonably priced than it was in the fg and MKII series. If you can hold out for a possible LE XR6T that would be the go.

I gotta say when someone comes to a Ford forum asking for advice and people tell them to buy a Holden, that's gotta be real confusing to a new comer.

Got to the actual Ford Forums mate, there are no Expensive Daewoo or HSV owners there putting down the Falcon, you'll probably find some decent advice.

^same with GT's. Dealer that gave me $60k for my GT has it listed at nearly $70k...surely no-one would pay that for it?! I watched similar km private sale GT's sit on carsales for weeks/months with asking prices of $55k.

What the hell, this is a Ford forum and question being asked was about Fords.

If you like the crappy look of the FG-X, then I would reccomend to get a FG-X, as it's a new car 0km on the clock and less problems.

If you hate the crappy look of the FG-X, then get a low KM looked after F6 or XR6T.

To Decide whether to go F6 or XR6T. If you plan to keep it stock then drive both as they drive differently.

- If you want more power to begin with and want about 400-500hp after mods start with a F6

- if you have 300-400hp power goal then get a XR6T

$2500 worth of Mods can give the XR6T Similar power to the F6 if not a bit better.

All the problems have been solved you say? They've fitted a new/better IRS setup have they? They've fixed the tendency for the seat bases to crack? They've fixed how hit and miss the manual gearboxes are with respects to issues? They've fixed the fact that Ford don't seem to want to know about said issues and that they're "within spec"? They've fixed the tendency for the interior to rattle and creak? They've put the ICC screen in a better spot so you can actually use your sat nav when the sun's out? They've updated the interior to something newer than 2008? They've stopped the tendency for rust with lighter colour paints? They've started putting enough paint on so that the front doesn't chip off if a stone so much as looks at the paint funny? Hmmmm...

How new is the vf mechanicaly compared to the ve? Have you had warranty dealings with holden in the past?

How good do expect the vf to hold up?

There's a reason the aussie car industry is dead.

Gotta be honest mate, you come across pretty bitter and twisted re the gt, I hope you don't suffer the same fate with the vf.
