Has anyone else had this issue in the past?Ute is Stock standard always run on BP98. oil changed regularly. doesnt get thrashed ( I get roughly 800KM to a full tank) I should point out that the pugs were changed 10,000ks ago and it went perfectly until this morning. Drove home last night without a drama. Its idling up and down betweeen 600-750 rpm and sounds like it has "blower roll" I have the OBD scan tool so ran the fault code check and the only fault that came up was the grey "theft" codeNothing has flashed onto the dash at all. Bit concerned as its never happened before. Any advice is or input is welcomed Edited 31/12/14 03:59 AM by jay384

Turned out to be Variable Cam Timing sensors not advancing enough at idle. Tuner said most likely cause was wrong oil (to thin) had been used, so I changed to a 10W-50 and she runs pretty sweet now

Any good mech should be able to take them out & give them a flush. During BA, they released Ecu flashes that added a purge command at startup iirc
jay384 New Member 15 Member For: 11y 10m 25d Posted 13/01/15 11:47 AM Author Share Posted 13/01/15 11:47 AM going in Thursday to have it looked at. I have noticed over the last week since the oil change that the idle is getting a tad better. Still going to have it seen to though. Might "need" a tune to help "fix" the issue. This is pretty common for these engines.
