Hi everyone, thankful for reading this. I wish to buy a ecoboost. I would like to know what is max boost with no mods as I was thinking of putting a bigger turbo or keep same turbo if I can get good pso to get max dose flutter as I have heard the harder it spools the louder it gets. I really don't want any power. Just wanna tune it to be good at full throttle and everyday driving to be economy as. Otherwise I might have to go for xr6 but don't want to

Just do it mate im also interested to see what the eco boost can do, curiosity more than anything.

Typically modern small turbocharged engines run quite a bit of boost. For example the 2.2l ranger I had prior to the triton runs 20psi which is stock. Holds it well to, I have logged it with forscan, ramps in hard and holds nice and flat at 20.

That's an interesting point ratter so sct and hp are no go obviously? Completely different pcm or just not "cracked" yet?

Explains why ive heard nothing about them being modified.

SCT/Herrods are looking for a car to play with. but have not seen anyone come forward with one yet, On AFF there was a guy that was playing with software to do them, they did one car but would not supply dyno sheets etc and based on what was posted it did not look like they had complete control of the ecu

Ah stuff it I'll get the xr6 turbo extra 5k n I got extra 100kw

When you put it like that, why would you consider anything else?

Edit: having said that, it WOULD be cool to see a tweaked 4 cylinder turbo.

If the ecoboost was better supported in the aftermarket world I would buy an ecoboost g6 in a heartbeat would be an awesome daily.
