I agree, it's easier to add power than it is to add interior niceness, that's either something a car has or hasn't got.

What's this $6500 turbo kit you speak of fluff?! Gah, I do kinda wish I had an LS3 in my car, better base for modding than an LS2...

I thought the SS had L76 or L98.

LS2 no longer used. :ermm:

Yeah.

Theres talk that the SS may get the LS3 later.

I always wanted to do a twin turbo setup on a VE awhile ago. There cheap enough to buy. Never know. I may have a Expensive Daewoo sitting in my shed one day along side my Fords. :slap:

That sounds reeeeal cheap for boost for a v8 holden. New ones better set up to handle it or something?

Yeh 6 bolt mains big displacement big chanber heads something like 12psi nets 500 ish rwkw stock bottom end

Turbo or blower 10-12psi gets them moving

VF platform with 450rwkw is doing around 10.7's so it's simular to the turbo 450

A V8 will always require more $$$ to do what a I6T would but we all know this, the new xr8 will need a few K less to go same times as a VF

Anyway... Moving along... Back on topic

Your comparing a modded v8 to a standard v8.

(The new Expensive Daewoo and your mrs car)

The new 6.2 is a far better engine and has better hardware bolted on especially in the HsV models, enough to make fairly good gains without massive effort if u just want a bit more grunt.

If your talking about a higher heart rate ... At the end of the day your talking about a modded xr6t and a modded old Late model camira compared to a standard off the line vehicle. With the same money chucked in it will perform on par if not better then what your comparing it to.

Example:

FG f6-

Injectors $600, tune $1500, valve springs $1000, inter cooler $2000, fuel pump $500, exhaust $2000...gets ya high 300rwkw

$6600

VF R8-

$6500 turbo kit, cat back exhaust $700, fuel pump $1000.

Pushing around 400rwkw

$8200

Not that different if u ask me.

Modded for modded

And then u get an amazing package both interior and power

Power is an easy fix imo

you guys always twist the truth ,I drove both ford and Expensive Daewoo v8 s yesterday . I was never comparing kells car or mine with it . read it properly do not skip over things . I compared only the new ford and holden . if you love these holdens so much and keep putting down the ford then move over to a Expensive Daewoo forum ,this is a ford forum and we love them . ugly or not I still like them (I like the look of them ) yes I do . and so do other people .

I interpreted what u said differently...

Oh and btw I've owned more turbo and v8 Falcons than you've had hot dinners.

I have loved every one... Just not a fan of the new one

Have you used Pandora before?

The benefit is awesome song selection based on personal taste. It's not used to play whatever music you have on your phone it's stream from the next all TuneIn or Spotify

I know what fluff is saying, I actually have less control over the Pandora app when using the Pandora mode on the alpine unit im the AU, displays all the same on screen stuff when you just use bluetooth cept I can still use the app. Everything is done via the app and you need Pandora open to use Pandora on your stereo so it doesn't even tether the internet like your thinking. I use Pandora and have a paid subscription. I just use it via bluetooth streaming...the Pandora feature is flaky, works fine in bluetooth mode...go figure

Can still skip and change station via head unit

Ill take a screen dump of the Pandora app when connected to a head unit in Pandora mode if I remember..its rendered useless, yet in Bluetooth mode its all the same on the head unit end(bar being able to "like" from head unit. Cept the app is still usable ...ive said it two diff ways now and feel like im still not making sense...

K so what a manufacturer means when they say their car has Pandora is: It has a clumsy UI to control the app on a smartphone and doesn't infact have Pandora at all...
