Anyone see the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bikt_wcuFHo Wow the XR8 still don't handle that well or is the Bogan special a pretty dame good car??

Also will a BF F6 Rspec out handle the FGX or FG GT Rspec? Seeing how the 6cyl is a more balanced car. I own a BF Rspec and im thinking its a waste of money to ever upgrade to a new Falcon?

Let me know what you guys think..

Regards Chris

Inb4it gets funny this time :/

Being that there all the same platform ( ford side ) they roughly all handle simular

Upgrades to a new falcon just for handling is fruitless exercise imho

Dont assume a v8 is heavier just coz its a v8. For example I know putting an alloy ls1 in a 180sx doesn't really make much difference as the SR is an iron block. I was looking at how to go about putting a barra into a r32gtr (very hard, rwd has been done piece of piss) and the 4.0l ford is actually lighter than an rb26. A v8 is also shorter(length) so places its weight more towards the centre of the vehicle.

True the 5.0 s/c is nearly apples for apples front weight to the 4.0 T

Hence my statement

If both cars are new ( theoretically bf r spec ) they would lap very similar !

All I can say is that my VF SS-V Redline handles better than my Rspec did, even with the Shockworks. So the outcome in the comparison doesn't surprise me.

My opinion,

Running 1.11 around Wakefield in a stock car is absolutely flying. No body here is going to do that. Let alone be consistent enough for it to actually show. Both cars have their pros and cons.

Its a decent comparison test. That 0-100 time seemed a little off the pace for both cars though? I think the difference accurately reflected the standing start pace, just seemed slowish for both cars

Tyres are a huge factor here, give the xr8 anything better than dunflops and it would lap a lot quicker!

But as seaton says that is flying around wakefield in a stock car. I seem to remember Luffy did a 1:10 in the new HSV GTS, couldn't find where I saw that though, he also did a 1:09 in an F6 :)
