I'm starting to build some motivation again, and I will be completing the finishing touches to the car. I will be removing the turbo and manifold tomorrow, so that the EGT fittings can be welded on. I have decided to ceramic coat the manifold and exhaust housing while it's off and once together, it will be off for a E85 tune.

I have purchased a few more goodies for the car. A Eaton true Trac, with new bearings and seals will be in transit on Tuesday. I have also purchased a set of Brembo four pot from calipers and brackets. As nice as it is to go fast, I figured it would be even nicer to be able to stop... I called Matt from Race Brakes Sydney earlier in the week and I have sent him a caliper and bracket, so that he can make new brackets and modify a set of DBA 500 rotors so that the brakes will fit behind normal aftermarket wheels.

I still haven't attacked the carbon stuff yet. It has been on my mind, but I never seem to be able to find time to make the moulds. I had a play with vacuum forming carbon skin onto factory dash spears and a console surround. I should have to process sorted in a week or two (Depending on my work load).

I forgot to mention, that I have started to source parts for a new, bigger, mega  bad ass engine for my XF Ghia. At the moment, specifications an components used in the build, is secret squirrel kind stuff. But I can say that it is way out there and we hope to have it completed by the end of next year.

One of our local guys has just parted out his 1200 rwhp XR6T. Scored a Mal Wood option 6 clutch (5,000k old), 60 mm Powergate, 50 mm Big Bubba and flex fuel sensor for $3k. Parts for the new engine are stacking up quickly. Only have rods, bearings, head studs, valves, cams  and lifters to go.

As the old proverb goes - When it rains, it pours.  Picked up a set of 4 piston Brembo front calipers and brackets for 1k A set of 4 piston rears, with brackets and rotors for $400. And now a new GTX 5533R for $3,200.  I'm loving the savings, but my bank account is looking very lean. Time to stop trawling Ebay and Facebook for a while.....
