Also start from the front to make sure the v bands mate up properly.

Went through all the stuffing around a while back after one completely failed and the cat back dropped down.

Yes I had some other issues that probably didn't help it, but the car just felt 'lethargic' compared to the original GT3576. Of course the 750 made more power and pulled harder up top, but point to point the car lost its zip. The little GTX cured all that. I'm actually making a little more peak power than the 750 did and 100Nm more torque, all of which comes on roughly 1000rpm earlier at near identical boost. The GTX3582R was the 'must have' 12 months ago. Now you hardly hear anyone talk about them unless its someone actually pulling it off to fit one of the latest offerings from Precision or Borg Warner. What's the common theme? Quicker spool - more responsiveness. Unless a dyno queen, most aren't interested in +400. The average taxi won't hook up at that power anyway and you'll start breaking things. As has been said many times, this is a very good 'street' turbo. No you won't win a dyno comp with it.

I did consider it but reliability stories still dog precision and at $500 more I felt the little GTX was a better option for me.
Skids4kids in the mid....not the bum like some Member 609 Member For: 11y 7m 2d Gender: Male Posted 05/01/15 06:51 AM Share Posted 05/01/15 06:51 AM (edited) If you are going by what you here only then that's not a fair evaluation on things....the scene is much bigger than our motors.I guarantee you more GTX3582s are sold each week for our motors than all the others put together.6235 would keep up with the GTX3576 down low and kill it in the mid/up top....might be yesteryear but it still works to this day The new Gen2 6062 that spools quicker than a 3576 but makes GTX3582 power by all reports is a pearler....it can be modified to fit the Garrett turbine housing. You cant beat that Garrett piece of mind though...I will miss it but Im after as much grunt per psi as possible....Garrett aren't in the game now unfortunately.Even the new GTW range aint much chop over the "ancient" GTX3582R....don't forget we have only had the GTX3582 in T3 housings also...add it into a T4 .9x rear and you will retain killer spool with more legs over T3 land. There is so much on offer nowadays and unless you just walk in with a giant wad of cash you're going to be walking away with something other than a 3582. The standard f6 turbo is darn close to it to warrant "upgrading"
