Hi All,

My XR6T Auto is due for engine mounts, current originals are stuffed. I'm hoping to attack this job myself over the Christmas break. Looking for advice on the following:

1. I've heard the turbo side is quite difficult to replace, anyone had experience with this and if so, how hard is it? I'll have access to a hoist.

2. What kind of mounts should I go for? Factory or aftermarket? From research factory are around $300 mark for two, would I be best to go for something like this: http://technicoracing.com/cs/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=266 ?

Any advice you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nic.

The aftermarket ones are good by reports however the comparison is always to f*cked old ones. I wouldn't used the nolathane ones personally. The setup is far too hard. There are some other cone shaped ones that look a bit nicer

I have the technico ones but they are the next model down ,still rated to 1000 hp but smother idling and on the road . I think they are ok just at idle the car drums due to not a lot of give in the dampening
