Yeah warranty will cover it. I'd be doing everything to get it done under warranty too as its not a cheap fix. My car was just out of warranty and forced the issue with ford for them to fix it. I think its $550 for the module, which only fixes 80% of cases. The other 20% need completely new ICC's! They're from memory 1500-2k from ford.

Booked the ute in today, got the "out of warranty" chat but to there credit they said they will talk to ford customer care and should be covered. Just waiting on the call.... 4 years/50k old so they should cover this in my opinion, statuary rights to the rescue if not!! While I was there I showed them my milky fog lenses aswell, didn't seem too surprised so should also be covered! Fingers crossed!! ;)

So update, Ford Customer Care are paying for a full IIC replacement (yey!) as they couldnt trace fault to specific part... Will approximately take 2-3 months for IIC unit to come in (that's how long a customer had to wait this month for a mk11 version for same fault), not happy about that so service manager is going to provide me with case number so I can chase Ford Customer Care for compensation (my choice as its the manufacturer issue not dealer). Fog lights are taking him longer to approve for replacement but think he should have an answer tomorrow.

Dealer was Sinclair Ford so not bad experience , just this car is wearing thin with my LOYALTY towards Ford.

Hope this helps others with same fault, remember its out of "warranty". Tip is know your rights, and be courteous. Express your opinion and wait for the response.

ICC not IIC

So its over a year out of warranty yet they are still sorting it for you for free? (free labour to install as well?)

What 'rights' are involved cause as far as I can tell they should just be telling you to get stuffed :P (or that you should have purchased the extended manufactures warranty).

Either way good for you! Not sure what your luck would be for a new gearbox or something big though lol....but the ICC new are not cheap anyways, so surprised they are willing to help out so much

Apparently the FGX ones aren't easy to retrofit into FG/MK2's Brad. Mr FPV has said it's pretty much in the too hard basket, from the way I read his comments.

Good to hear Ford are actually helping you out Nitro...but I hear ya on the "wearing thin" towards your Ford loyalty! Wore me down to the point of changing teams :ermm:
