Lol mate I was kidding, coz your old engine had honey in it coz farked...thicker oil probably wont help with timing chain issues.

Are you even sure its that? Have you checked the chain/tensioner?

I gave ford a call today gunna a new replacement timing chain guide drivers side. The one that moves and tends to break. $218.63. trying to down load atomics catalog prices but will not work. nice timing chain they sell. have a look.

Chain is $190 plus post from Atomic and I have a brand new one here in SA spare for sale.

I recon I can get the guide cheaper for you also.

Half my motor is Atomic and the chain is so much chunkier everywhere yet has the same pitch as stock...night and day.

Im yet to get kms on mine but his parts are I motors making twice my power with room to move still so I feel quite at ease with said parts in my combo.

the bolt for the guides are down near the sump and the hole motor as to either come out or the hole fame has to be droped away to remove the sump to get to the bolts +the timing chain cover just had this problem, replaced guides chain and tensioner got new oil pump and set of cams cost me 1500 in labour its a big job

how about just changing the guide ,can I do that easily ? or like Bizket said just get another engine when it blows

thanks Bizket for finding out a price for me . over the holidays I will take of the rocker cover and have a good look on the damage there is ,and how hard it might be to

take the guide of and replace
