Thanks for the kind replies everyone. I have no idea why certain other forums have a issue with people here in regards to manufacturing rivalries, everyone here is so nice.. but anyway!

I have decided to also give the FG a chance simply because it wouldn't be fair to rule one or the other out after a test drive. I saw a white FG with black concave rims and it nearly sold me (Think it may have)

Just wish these couple months would hurry up already!

The FG tops out at about 320 kw on 98 octane fuel but due to the turbo being a GT3578 to the BF GT3582, it delivers the power differently (spools quicker but runs out of puff in the top end).

Again, work out what you eventually want from the car and this may help yuo decide which model to get.

Hm, guess when the time comes, I could always upgrade the turbo if I chose the FG.

Was wondering if I could run a tune where I run 98 and e85 separately. Besides weight being a issue I couldn't see this being a bad thing.

Hey Se7enT, I'm in the same boat as you (except im coming from a; ba xr6 4 speed felt slow and I crashed it, to a Fg xr6 6 spd Felt nimble and really surprisingly fast for an na) I've bought an FG MK2 XR6T limited and it feels PHENOMINAL. it puts a smile on your face for the first month and makes you pee a little in the wet even till now so I am guessing since you've come from 4 cyl FWD your going to feel really uneasy with that back end coming on boost unless you have great tyres. I've driven my mechanic 6T ute with 340rwkw and 800 nm torque and that thing don't funk around even at 100kph but its still VERY streetable. I've taken my XR6T to the drags and ran a 12.83 stock standard. Going for a stage 2 plus package in about a months time. When you mod it do your research on tuners and trust your tuners opinion aswell as your online study. Have fun and congratz on entering the 6T club
