I also like the sportier look compared to a FG! However I am a bit concerned about a few things.> Have you ever sh*t yourself in a BF XR6T?> Are they really that responsive to mods as people say? (2k and under to achieve nearly 300RWKW)> I have looked at different reviews for the XR6T to get a mixed review, the Expensive Daewoo forums in particular weren't keen on XR6Ts, which got me thinking why?> Are they dyno queens? I have read even a 300RWKW XR6Ts cant even do 12s, which even though I haven't been in a car that fast, seems a bit low for those figures.. I've heard that a 10/11 second XR6T daily is very common however. And maybe other issues that I should be aware of, I am looking for one under 90,000 KS in Auto. Thanks

Stronger internals and valve springs. Dunno about $2k to get you too 300rwkw but with some appropriate mods you will see it easy.By the way, I blew away plenty of Holdens with my set up back in 2004. It was entertaining at the time but 300rwkw is low power figues these days.Good luck and be safe Whipper Snipper

Sounds good for the BA, how was the drive-ability like? How is 300 RWKW a low power figure lmao, that's pretty crazy.Yeah I don't think I'll boost it for a while. I had my XR6T while still on my Ps here in WA, I'm still not dead nor have I killed anybody driving a performance car, despite what the government/police whant people to think. My first car was a Honda Civic, switching to an XR6T is a big change, not only in power but how to handle a powerful rwd car. Don't even think about mods until you're confident in handling the car in stock form, I waited 9 months before I got mine modified. I too bought a BF MK2, I got November 2.5 model with all the run out extras. It is true they come with the typhoon bottom end and stronger valve springs than the BA.First thing you wanna do is sort out the common issues, get an earls turbo oil feed line of ebay for $150, the standard line has a sh*tty filter that blocks up and starves the turbo of oil. Next is the brakes, I bought mine with 50k km on the clock and the front brake rotors we're already warped and causing brake shudder, upgrade to a set of DBA 4000 rotors, these are a very good upgrade over stock and don't warp nearly as easy. Also you want to make sure you get the ZF serviced, it's kinda due for it at 100k kms, also the factory heat exchanger is known to fail and destroy the gearbox, better off replacing that with a PWR one (which is expensive, or at least another factory one, the cheaper option). The diff bushes also fail regularly if you thrash the car alot, but I'm still on my stock diff bush at 70k km, I don't drive like a granny all the time though. As for power mods you wont get 300rwkw reliably for 2k. More like 4-5k, and even cheaper if you can source second hand parts. I achieved 330rwkw with upgraded injectors, fuel pump, intercooler, high flow cat and a custom tune of course, all of that will be a little over 4k.

The converter was there to help the box at lower rev range so it would take some of the torque of it while cruising. Drive ability was like a normal stock XR but it did have a distinct noise from the 044 fuel pump that you could here while sitting at lights, but basically what RB said is true. Factor in your service requirements, Allow for brakes and follow those mods and you will have a reliable 300rwkw sleeper. As for a 300rwkw BF not breaking a 12 sec pass, well I will let you be the judge of that.......

The thread will give you an idea of the maintenance that comes up as well as performance parts and results. I haven't bothered to post all of the fluid changes I've done either like more brake fluid changes and recently power steering fluid.

Ive had plenty of tough street cars in my time but as you said, these things make crazy torque when tuned. I had mine break out at 100kmh plenty of times when my tyres had seen there best and I can tell you that your spot on. Nearly got away on me.... Onya mateyThe old fart in me MUST agree with the captains suggestion above - driving course - whatever state you live in, I'm sure there will be a company that will help you better prepare for a turbo 6 coz even a stock BF will propably surprise the crap out of you when it starts to get away from you the first few times.A mk2 has the ability to see around 400(ish) on E85 but like everything with these cars, it all comes down to the bank account.Have a look at the 300+ section of the forum and start reading / learning about the BF and you will soon see the best way to go to get the power level to where you want it.Good luck with it allOh and a quick heads upNo need to quote a post directly above your reply.................some of the mods hate it
