Your telling me

It's only at 8psi because the unplugged bov is just dumping all the boost

Do it properly with 20+psi it'll sound unreal

Thanks for that bud. So did you put the bolt at the tip of the line where it plugs into the BOV?

When you say do it properly Matty is that by installing a dose pipe?

I'll try and get some videos tonight. Tried the other night with my phone but the vibration from the dash mount makes the car seem like it's bending Time.

I think I may have it lol, just looking at the pic and trying to piece it together...I told you, I'm actually useless when it comes to the mechanical side of the car, big learning curve for me.

I'm heading to bunnings on my way home from work this afternoon and going to give it a shot, but would you mind taking a photo of the vac line with the clamp just to give me an idea on how you've got it set up.

Is this going to run at full boost when I remove the BOV and plug the holes?

Nah I just unplugged the vac line for brief sh*ts and giggles.

If you plug it up properly yeah you'll run full boost.

Some may overboost briefly on a manual but it will be fine

Sweet, I'm in an auto so hopefully all goes well. Heard so much about it damaging the turbo and limp mode etc on other forums so I was a bit hesitant doing it, if you guys haven't had any issues ill give it a crack! worse case I just blow up the turbo and have to buy a new one :dancing:

People who say they blow up because of it just don't have their facts right.

Gt4s from the 90s didn't have bovs and those engines/turbo can go 200000+ easy

As you can clearly see....a shorter bolt would be ideal LOL I just CBF cutting it down and it helps keep the wire in place anyways (tucks in nicely under the ECU cover).

You should probably unplug it before heading to bunnings and then measure the hole to see how wide the required bolt needs to be? I bought a 4 pack of rubber chairstoppers to block of the BOV holes.....and I leave the spare 2 in the car.....just in case they ever come or brake off or whatever :P

The guys from Nizpro cant be wrong :P

Plus when dudes like Ralph Wiggum say its fine.....then I just take his word for it lol

^^^^ I believe these are the ones I bought and then trimmed them down a little with a knife (I think they were a little too long) .... your lucky cause they now have these 29mm ones....which I think the one I bought was 24 mm or something and therefore was a pain to stretch over the TB elbow hole - which is around 26mm IIRC...then buy some hose clamps (I think they have numbers written on them like 24-34mm or some sh*t?).

Good luck! Yours will sound way better than mine; cause running more boost and I'm stuck with stock tune ATM
