that's true ratter Simon does fit as he calls them "the dyno tyres" on the high powered stuff, but its to stop wheel spin

You need good supporting mods to make it to 400. I fitted the largest of everything. Including some FG cams. ( mines BA)

Plus for me 400 is a nice number and plenty of power. I have a manual and it turns the tyres in third.

What I can say is going from 212rwkw to over double that with ethanol. The car was nicest to drive when it made 250rwkw

LOL sweeeet well that explains a LOT ...

your comparing a BA !!!! with CAMS, AND a MANUAL to a G6eT FG with a ZF ???????

DUDE cmon... normally u give reasonable advice but seriously your input here is horsesh*t !!!!!

Wrong horse Wrong course !!!! comment on Apples not your orange :/

Hey Lennox...not sure if I asked you already in a different thread...but whos tuning it?

And OP if you have thousands of dollars then go the gtx3582...otherwise if you cant afford rebuilt gearbox, strengthening of driveline, etc...then stick to the gtx3576.

I am poor and prefer to stick to 350-360 max...in hopes of reducing the amount of brakeages that occur. Heres hoping anyways :P

Theres actually a thread where it states that most of the input shaft snapages on stock boxes etc come from the GTX76 as it cant deal with the down low torque ;) and the blokes where I got my quote on both turbos theres only $150 diff between the both.. either a 76 or 82 with ported housing, 12psi gate etc is over $2K anyways :D

My comment was to the OP , that if he wanted 350 on 98 he would make it easy with a stock F6 turbo. I wasnt comparing my car to anything. Can you show me where I did.

Well a few days u stated your car made 400 no 396kw..

so to quote ANY figure your car makes is really no benefit to this thread.. Given BA XR manual, cams etc DOES NOT EQUAL G6ET stockish with ZF.. !!!

AND your first post in this thread guessing this blokes power is only 283kw SO im assuming your saying if he puts a sh*t old f6 3582 on he will somehow make 350kw so 67kw increase by a small turbo upgrade ??

To be fair

Typical small turbo figures are 300

Typical big turbo figures are 350

Not really the end of the world but a "typical" fact

Just sayn

Being an old kent, I prioritised reliability and driveability into my build - not specifically outright power. You do get sucked in on forums thinking you need the biggest of everything but it's not the case and in fact, may deliver something you didn't actually want.

My tuner (as most prominent shops do) have some big HP Barras. I often call in and guess what, those big HP cars are always there. The maintenance on a car making say 500rwkw is nearly as much as the mods itself. The facts are they're broken and often. I see plenty of young blokes in particular bomb their dailies then quickly sell because they're always off the road.

In my opinion, these things are at their happiest at around 375rwkw (500hp). Go more in a ZF and you'll hurt it - manual needs a clutch and that's just the start of it.

Hey bomber what figure did the boys get you in the end. They maxed out my little turbo at 317 and suggested to me the package you choose. They offered surge and new rail over in tank just wondering which route you went.
