Hi all just a question about fg ac.

Our fan when putting it on semi auto and turning it right up to full blast still has no pressure when blowing the air out, and the ac takes ages to cut in and when it does its intermittent. Woukd the him module be buggered or is there another reason its ordinary

Regards kane

my car suffers the same ....

replaced him..

new battery

re gassed

and still has issues

other things to check are the ambient temp sensor in the left hand mirror

and also update the icc so the compressor stays on longer ..

that's all I got at the moment

I found a big difference in the ability of the AC in my FG MK1 XR6T compared to that of my FG MK2 GT. MK2 aircon is much more capable.

Yeah fg mki is terrible. My old ba ute was freezing even in the hottest weather. I have also had a regas after an unfortunate experience. Nothing changed

Mines perfect and I have an FG (there's no such thing as a mk1!).

Fans great, airs freezing cold, got no problems. Even accidentally let a bit of gas out when I did my first coolant drop, only a small amount though. Stock power.

I have a low KM FG Pre-facelift, but Euro4 model. The fan blows hard on max without a problem, it does take a while for the fan to ramp up after climate control is activated after being turned off, no big delay at all.

The problem was with how cool the vent temperature got on warmer days.

I took it to the master technicians at my Ford dealer to perform checks on any common problems, modules, sensors etc, all which were confirmed to be working fine.

However the vent temp was still substandard at many times, still cool to do the job but the best way to describe it would be "cold enough to say it has A/C". So after confirming the car had no been leaking refrigerant, I removed the R134a and re-gassed it with R290/R600a (Hychill), it is now very cold on a 35 degree day.
