Thanks guys,

think ill go ahead with the 9k offer. I am still in two minds about selling the car though. Something tells me Ill regret it for some reason.....

on a side note

Called AAMI to get a quote on a 2010 F6. Got quoted $880 premium/$1350 excess. This surprised because Im a 27 yr old male driver living in SYD.

Zero claims could have something to do with it.....

Only accept cash or bank cheque get a copy of their drivers license and fill out the rego papers and I think green slip.

Write a receipt for the new owner and put in a time when they took ownership just in case they go through speed or red light camera.

Check with buf first.......... :pandalol:

EDIT - Buf got in first........ :pandalol:

I've got current rego papers so fill that section out on the back.

Right out a receipt stating date and time car was purchased and get him sign it.

Grab a copy of his drivers license.

Take cash or bank cheque only.

Sound right? Am I missing something?

Definitely try to get cash only - even a bank cheque can be cancelled.

And if you are in two minds about selling, don't budge on your price if you think it is fair.

The Buyer wants your car, you don't need to sell it, right?

I think you'd be doing very well to sell it for that price, there may be lots of cars asking the same with higher kays but they don't necessarily sell for the asking price.

I'm defs not budging on price. Got serviced yesterday and asked if he wanted to go halves in the service. He basically told me to get f*cked. lol

Thought ide do the right thing and sort a few of the cars problems for him + a service. Ended up costing me $950. So I'm effectively getting 8k for the car. The little extra $$$ was going to go on a ps4.

Coz playing games is fun.....
