Fg Xr6 Ute Making Loud Strange Noise

Hey everyone,

Looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction with knowledge or possibly had this experience and fixed it with their own car.

On my way home from bunnings yesterday I went changed gears hard on a corner 1st to 2nd and started getting a knocking noise (sounds like from the passenger side rear wheel area so I assumed it was a belt hanging from the Tyre hitting the body butit wasn't.

Tried doing up the wheel nuts on the side of the road wasn't that, it's a pretty loud clunking sound but here's the strange thing, if I go over a decent dip in the road the noise will go away for say 30 seconds?

Also if this is in the wrong section please move it

hey mate thanks for the reply, still hoping weather gets better here so I can get under the car,

I was reading up about tailsahft cv issues, it sounds like the symptoms but im still confused if its tailshaft/drivetrain related why the noise/vibration would disappear when going over large dips on the road

Could be the change of angle where the cv connects to the diff while going over the bumps etc.
