Hi,

I have an 2002 XR6 turbo. I have just had the gear box (210,000km) rebuilt by a specialist as it was going into LIMP mode. since the box has gone back in, it is still going in to limp mode.

The car has been to my local ford dealer and has had the computer reset with the hope that it was just picking up old codes.

I am lost for ideas, the battery is fine, all wiring has been checked (earths etc), rebuilt box in and a load of money thrown at it.

Has anyone got any ideas?

I'd appreciate any suggestions, my pride and joy has been off the black stuff for over two months. GGRRR

Aside from going into limp mode, any other symptoms? Slipping? Banging into gear?
My BA (210,000 kms also) started going into limp mode but showed no other signs of problems and it ended up being a faulty solenoid. It only threw codes when it was scanned whilst in limp mode - if I shut it off and restarted and then scanned, codes weren't being logged.

Try and keep notice on when it does it - if it seems to happen during a shift, it could be a solenoid.
