Hey guys, Just bought my first Ford..

Its a G6E-T 2011 on factory 19's. I want to lower it about 25-30mm max from standard hight.

I have 2 concerns,

1. I want it to sit flat NOT nose down

2. I have been told there lower then xr6's by apx 20mm so if I get a lowering kit for a xr6 say 30mm il only come out 10mm lower then I am now??

Any help appreciated, I am in New zealand by the way.

Blkdiamond let me know how you get on with this, I am tempted to go with the kings myself but I have a few steep speed bumps as part of the morning school run and if I take them above 15km I seem to bounce and scrap the front of the car after the engine. I would also be interested in the costs in NZ.

When I went kings ssl all round I thought front was go to be a concern for speed hump and kerbs.

But found when lowering, it leveled out and raised the clearence at the front a little.

I think because the car sits racked stock the front bar sat lower to ground.

Thanks guys!! I haven't driven it much yet.. I have had many lowered cars and I don't want to end up with a low pig. Iv done a bit more research and supposedly there is a 15mm front King on the market and a 35mm rear which would be ideal I think. not to low but enough to give it a good stance and level it out..

Pixi do you know how many mm the (sssl rears and ssl fronts) are?

There is hardly any speed bumps where I live and nun are to steep, I'm sure it would be different if I had a big from lip but I thought the G6E bumper was somewhat high of the ground and 20-30mm wouldn't be a issue (speculating)

My budget isn't huge, Ideally I would go coil overs all around but ye that's not going to happen. Kings go for around $450-$550 NZD for 2 pairs.

I have SSLs all round like Matty above.. I also have the Monroe Shocks..

With the stock rims it sits well and is no trouble even with a full tank of fuel and 2 people in the back..

It also allows me to tow and still have clearance.. I chose the SSL not the SSSL(like most others) on the rear for this very reason..

I just put 275s on 20s and even by myself and no passengers it "just" rubs on 1 side.. SSSLs would have been no go and id be spewing..

Just remember this as if u choose rims later it may effect drivability..

I think SL would be similar to stock but a touch lower..

With SSL on the front my main issue is scratching the front lower bar and it happens A LOT now and im continually touching it up..

My advice is to go SL fronts and SSL rears which will give u the flat look your after.. and this will give u the mm drop your after too..
