Well just wrapped up the last track day for me this year, That brings this years total to 26 sprint meetings and thankfully no major failures or damage. But it's a shame that can't be said about the poor chap who wrote off his 180sx at Lakeside today.

next time you go ther give me a message ,I will come down and give my ute a run as well . used to go there with a hyundai exel ( do you know gino goodall ?)GSN ACCESSORIES

yes mate they have just a series for them ,same as HQ and GEMINI races . they are very fast around the track due to there handling and braking ability . have a look at TRACK attack

under QLD raceway I think and you will see that they are one of the fastest around there lol . they actually run faster times than the V8 supper cars used to before they stopped racing

there

HAHHAHAHA...just had a quick look.....That's classic!

Not sure If I can really believe "they actually run faster times than the V8 supper cars used to before they stopped racing there" ... but hey....I'll just take your word for it ;)

I just remember how sh*thouse my excel was...for the 6 months that I owned one.

I did laugh a while ago....cause there are rally style events (can't remember where), and the excel guys take it very seriously....cant remember when or why....just remember watching some dude on youtube doing his thing in the hyundai beast :P

they do run semi slicks that is why they handle so well . for about $5000 you can have one with a roll cage and camber caster adjustments and they go the best with about 300,000 on the clock .try that with a Expensive Daewoo or ford lol . and if you crash one you can get a real good one for about $1000 to fit all the parts back into

Ummmmm........

1998 v8 supercars top 10 was between 50-51 seconds per lap.

These excels are around 15 seconds a lap slower.

Which also makes Scatterbrains car around 5 seconds a lap faster. Which is a lot.

Not taking anything away from them but they are not in the same league whatsoever time wise.

we were told that they did a 1.05 slower then the exel .going to ask Gino for his best time around there (he had the lap record for a while )

where did you find the info for the v8 supper cars ,running 50-51 ? just phoned gino and he said that they ran a 1.05 ?

Back in their day these were very big $$ cars. Whoever told you the Hyundais were faster had been on some good gear.

Watch the video. Can you imagine an Excel doing that? Ha

Race lap record was a 51.44 at the time for a v8 supercar. Qualifying times obviously faster.
