But Aaron just because you have a surge doesn't mean it won't lean out if your running low/out on fuel.

550rwkw number came from my rough guesstimate of 600lph kw limit.

Me stupidly have run the tank out twice and both times I noticed no surging or anything till the last breath

And on Joes old angled Dyno I had less than 10l in the tank while tuning with no leaning out issues with a standard fuel pump

And masda

Everything we do to our cars is illegal pretty much

A surge just sticks out a little more

I don't run less than 1/4 tank always. And if I am going to beat the car , which is often , more than 1/2 tank

Fuel will stay in the swirl pot on the dyno. Won't after a few donuts on the skid pan though

How big is the swirl pot? Does the fuel last a while or gone pretty quick? Cos it's unlikely you're gonna be flat tack for more than about 20 seconds ever really... Unless you guys are into some crazy top speed sh*t :/

Either the pump is the problem or the swirl pot is, which is it?

Stock pot. High boost. Less than 1/4 tank and you will have ugly pistons after 20 seconds

I find that very hard to believe.

Didn't someone grenade their engine at powercruise with a KPM in-tank? I remember reading it somewhere...

Interested to hear more on that!

Pump that can pump infinity fuel per second won't help if the swirl pot it sits in empties due to fuel moving away when launching car well or cornering hard or for long periods. It will just pump infinity air per second.
